Hi mate;  I have a colostomy. I take multi-vitamins and do not have any problems. In fact they help me stay fit. The type that I take are in a powdered form. That may be part of the problem. They should be powdered or liquid to get the best benefit.   Take Care   jb.------Original Message-------

Subject: [UK Ostomy Support ] Multivitamins

Hi all.

On another group I belong to there is an ileostomate who found he
suffered quite a lot of wind when taking multivitamins, he directed me
to a JPouch site where a few other people also suffered problems with
multivitamins, not just extra gas but stomach pains and diarrhoea etc.
So I'm just trying to find out who else takes multivitamins, and who,
if any, have had any problems with them?

Michele
