I have had crohns/UC for over 40 years. I am 57.

Having had a liver transplant 10 years ago because of PSC, I have now
been advised to have an ileaostomy, because of some polyps they found
in a colonoscopy. ( They are worried they may turn 'nasty'.)

I don't know yet of anyone that has had one, it's a thing you go round
bragging about.
Can anyone give me some advise.
