Could be you don't have enough potassium.  Try eating a banana before bed or taking a supplement of potassium - that's what ususaly causes muscle cramps - especially in the legs.

Anybody else had muscle cramps in the leg at 5 am? The pain goes
away fairly quickly once I jump out of bed, but itis driving me mad.

One burst of cramp can lead to another and another in the same location. The cramp can actually cause some mild trauma to the muscle that causes it to cramp...

Hello, Yes the quinine is used alot for leg cramps...Alot of atheletes will drink it in club soda to prevent that during sporting events...I think it tastes...
