We are an informal group, based in New York City, of adults and young adults with Juvenile or Type I Diabetes. This group is not run by any doctors, health care professionals or organizations. We are affiliated with JDRF, but we are independently run. We meet once a month and usually rotate between meeting casually for dinner/drinks/coffee and having speakers on a variety of diabetes related topics. The list serve is used for meeting announcements, sharing general information, and asking for advice or suggestions. In dealing with a disease in which every day living can be quite frustrating, difficult, time cosuming and depressing, we hope to offer a little understanding, head nodding, sympathy and cheerleading for one another.
