Türk Spina Bifida Grubunun amacı;
* Ülkemizdeki Spina Bifidalı hastalar arasında yardım, dayanışma ve iletişimin sağlanması
* Türkiye'de Spida Bifida konusuyla ilgili kurum, kuruluş, dernek ve hekimlerin gurubumuza katkılarının sağlanması.
* Hastaların ve ailelerin hastalık konusundaki son gelişmelerden ve Spina Bifida derneğinin çalışmalarından haberdar edilmesi
* Hastalığın önlenmesi ve erken tanınmasına yönelik girişimlerin sağlanması, kamuoyunun bilgilendirilmesi.
* Spina Bifidalı insanların üretken bireyler olarak toplumsal hayata dahil olmalarının sağlanması.
