Hi,<br>One thing that may help...If your bdad had
a paternity test done, there may be record of that
in YOUR chart at the hospital where it was done.
especially if you had to have your blood tested at the same
time. If you can get a copy of your chart, you may get
lucky and find his name in your records.<br>Go to the
hospital where it was done, ask for the medical records
department. You will need to sign a release, and indicate
your name at the time of testing. Many hospitals
require a small fee; some will tell you they no longer
have records that old. Most will keep records on
computer, though, indefinitely.<br>No guarantees, but worth
trying. Good luck.<br>Lee Ann

Just wanted to say hi. I am an adoptee and have
had pneumonia and anemia very bad now since the end
of nov. Now I need a hysterectomy.<br><br>This all
sounds like a soap opera to me so if no one does not
believe it; that's ok. Please; join the group.<br><br>At
any rate; I see my chf specialist on Feb 6th and he
will write something concerning my health so that the
courts will open my records. I have been told, quite a
few times; that it's got to be written in a certain
way or they will just dismiss it. All I need to know
is what he needs to write and exactly how. Then my
records are mine. This is so important that I can not
find the right words to express how important it
is...<br>I will be able to get all of my questions answered.
Well, as I told my sister...nothing is free,

Hi everyone!!! Hope this message finds everybody
in better shape than me. Tomorrow is my birthday(39
and holding!!!hahaha)I wonder if my mother is
thinking of me as much as I'm thinking of her.Well alot
has been going on with me this last month,
unfortunatly it has been mostly bad news... I went for a check
up and my blood work came back that I have cancer(we
already know that it is breast cancer)I go see the
surgeon in 2 weeks to go over all my options. Right now I
am battling a bad case of the flu.That has had me in
bed since Christmas night and out of work all week.I
finally feel a little more human today!!!!Hope everyone
has a safe and Happy New Year!!! I will keep you

well again. I had gone to sleep last wed. night &
would not or did not get up until Sun. I had been
admitted to the hospital, Mt. Sinai, and so, when I feel

I am doing as best as I can. My birthday is
comming up so I am getting all these feelings stirring

Hi all,<br> This is my first post to the list. I
am not sure if the medical issues I am concerned
about are considered chronic or not. <br> I have two
sons who are diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome,ADHD
and OCD. These three things can cause so many
heartaches in a person who has them and if not diagnosed,
can cause both physical and emotional problems. I see
what my two boys go through and struggle with daily
and I know that the son I gave up for adoption may be
struggling with this too.<br> Mark was born on August 24,
1973 in Jamestown,NY. Mark is the name his adoptive
parents gave him. I now have my search narrowed down to a
list of 8 names and can't seem to get any farther. I
know that his adoptive father was a Baptist minister
in 1973 and that he and his wife have a daughter who
was 6 years old at the time. I know I am close but,
can't seem to find the info needed to end this search.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate
hearing them!

that you had a reunion. I'm very happy for you; not
happy that you were sick though.<br><br>Well, please

response to your email about getting families together.
This had nothing to do with you but I was temporarily
upset & I said, no, no, no..this is a sign not to
continue searching. Not so. It never lasts with me. life
is too short.<br><br>Someone that has chf, like me,
also has a child that is a yr. older than my oldest.
Her son is 20 and Shanon just turned 19. They just
found out that he inherited her chf and I found out
through searching that this a very, genetic disease. I
don't want my children to do the searching so I have
the t.i.e.s. form. I go to the doctor on the 23rd or
the 28th. i have to check the calender. This is just
too important.<br><br>Again; Renee...glad everything
worked out but would have liked to have heard that you
were ok a long time ago. People care. Take it for what

First..Renee, are you ok? Are you feeling ok? I
ask because I haven't heard from you. I hope
so.<br>Yes; it's really good for Paula and Anthony to get
here. I hope she does soon. Anthony went to see his
transplant specilist on Thurs. and the doctor was like; well
you have to have a transplant. So, what I mean by
that is that it's a definite, in their eyes at
Columbia. I've talked to Paula, many times, about a 2nd
opinion. So, when I had talked to Paula by phone thurs
night; she agreed and then I called my transplant
specialist so that they can get one. I'm waiting for a call
back on Mon. to have it set up for her.<br>I hope
everyone is ok here and Renee; I really hope you're ok.
That goes go for everyone. I'm not feeling that good
and if it stays this way; I'll be in NY myself.<br>At
any rate; I've stopped by for all of those reasons
mentioned above and also, to get the url to our club again.
I forgot to hit "save" for my page and all of the
work I put in it; is gone. For someone that's not sick
and pretty healthy; it would be hard. With me; it
seems like a never ending project. I love doing it
though. For me; I'm just so darned tired, however; I will
start the rebuilding process;-) If no one hears from
me; it's because we will be moving and our puter is
hooked up by cable. Just telling everyone in every club
and email; so no one worries or tries to find

I think it's great that they come to this
club!!!! I feel this is about helping others not just
because of adoption but because of the need to help
others. I am very grateful for this site and the help I
am recieving because of being an adoptee with chonic
illness's that could eventually be life threatening. We as
human beings need to be able to help one another in all
of our times of trouble. I will be praying for you

is Paula,,and her little boy Anthony is on a
transplant list for a new heart(not kidney like I
thought)DUH. Anyhow, Anthony is almost 3,,and the poor little
one has already been thru hell. Our group is a very
close caring one,and I think everyone of us knows what
it is like to face the uncertainy,fear,helplessness,
of what tomorrow might bring. <br><br>I know that
everyone here will support Paula and Anthony and be there
for her. They need our emotional and spiritual
support. And I think we need them. I know I do. Seeing how
brave and positive Paula is,,,inspires me,,and makes me

Hello we are trying to find siblings due to
medical we have met the birth mother and talked to the
birth father. Neither will help us out at all. My
husband is adopted and has major medical issues. Doctors
rule most idiopathic which is unknown to cause. we
found a full brother last year and three week after we
found him and met him he was dead. And he has some of
the same medical issues and was unaware that he had
them. Looking for sibling from birth mother Stella
Cueto currently Hall lives in Florida. And Benjamin
Hodgeman lives in California. Any help would be deeply

Hi I am a bmom searching for my bson to pass on
important medical information to him. My son Michael past
away back in 82, at that time they called it "failure
to thrive." In 90, my 9 month old son was diagnosed
with PID, at that time they did not give him a lot of
hope but he is one heck of a fighter. My Bson can be a
carrier of this disease or he can get the disease
himself. the doctors informed us that it usually affects
ppl in their late teens to early 30's. I dont want my
bson to go through what I have had to go
through.<br>The info I have on my bson is that he was born
11/11/80 Nassau Hospital, Mineola, NY. He was adopted by a
Jewish Family. The adoption was finalized on
