Description
Welcome to Tourette Connecticut!
This is your place to take off your shoes and relax while meeting others in the state of Connecticut who are also touched by Tourette Syndrome (TS). This is our online support group, and all are welcome.
We recognize the need for support groups in our community, but also realize that so many of us lead busy family lives and cannot often get to a support group routinely. This offers you a chance to mingle with the TS community at a time of your convenience...and no gas to put in the tank to get there! It's free!
We will also post about upcoming activities in the Tourette's community so that you can be aware of what events are on the way. We'll alert you when when any new literature or media events related to TS are out, and when new medical breakthroughs or new resources are reported.
While here with us online, you can connect with others in your community, learn about TS and its management, and offer and receive support. Discussions about medication, holistic remedies, and any other strategies are welcome, but understand that the friendly folk participating here are usually not physicians. Check with your doctor before considering any therapy for yourself or family members, even when using natural remedies. Even natural remedies have the potential to interact with medication, so check with your doctor first.
Online Advertisements are not allowed here (SPAM), although any information, literature, products, aall ctivities, TS topics and experiences and events related to TS are welcome.
Please keep in mind the list's basic guidelines:
· Keep posts related to TS topics and to those who live with TS (or live with family members who have TS)
· Always keep posts courteous and respectful
· Respect confidentiality. This is an open list, so it is wise to avoid using full names to respect privacy
Enjoy your journey of learning!
