Hi Kronos/Curtis,
Wonderful website as the open-eye meditation alone has contributed to
my efforts in attempting spritual growth. Was experiencing some
stagnancy in progress with other types of meditations but have
incorporated the open-eye method into my regiment. Regarding the
excerpts..
As usual, language and words always will have a potential for
"impedance mismatch" with thought comprehension (maybe just mine) and
thusly I have questions on the material I have digested. I would be
grateful if you could provide clarification to this knowledge-hungry
spirit as understanding to this material seems "material" to me
;)
REGARDING CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS:
"Stated as simply as possible, Christ consciousness exhibits a
condition of permanence when achieved as a result of the ACCUMULATION
and CENTRALIZATION of consciousness, while achieving complete
detachment from the separate constituent parts and levels of
consciousness within ITSELF. In other words, Christ consciousness is a
completeness beyond the accumulated parts, but is always experienced
from WITHIN the nature of this consciousness as internal beingness, or
Divine Self, called the Christ Principle."
QUESTION:
1) Please elaborate on the "accumulated parts" as discussed above.
Are the accumulated parts "Universal Love, overwhelming feelings of
compassion and bliss, and a desperate need to share these feelings"?
2) Also, is your assertion put simply that Christ consciousness is
internal since it does not recognize that we are part and parcel of
God himself or itself (as taught in Hindu Vedanta) and therefore lacks
the completeness/wholeness of that realization?
REGARDING BUDDIC CONSCIOUSNESS:
"It is then that a temporary state of white light and Primordial
Christ consciousness is subsequently experienced. This achievement is
TEMPORARY because of the forward motion that has been set into effect
in achieving it, a result of the nature and methods used to achieve
Buddhic consciousness."
QUESION:
1) I believe you stated the "temporary state" of white light was due
to the flywheerl effect /forward motion and the Buddhas of Compassion.
What of the nature and methods used to achieve Buddhic nirvana would
cause the fall from the light? Are you only speaking of the Buddhas
of Compassion concept or other concepts as well?
The Buddhas of Compassion are an idea of Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhism
which in my opinion had added questionable ideas onto Buddhism
hundreds of years after the sage's death. I'm interested in hearing
of any pitfalls with the Thervada Buddhism brainwash that I understand.
Thanks and regards,
Ric
