Hi.
I don't think I can answer your question since I haven't focused on developing any astral travel techniques for myself due to other responsibilities, but I might offer some suggestion to stay receptive to the fabric of what you perceive as reality around you and keep your eyes and ears open for anything out of the ordinary.
Of course, make use of your logical reasoning skills to work with what you are experiencing. You might just be proven wrong sometime. :) I like it when I can't prove something logically. ;)

Can someone help me out? I'm new to this Astral Travelling and Time
Travelling concept. I read the first 18 excerpts and it still seems so
simple, yet I don't feel different. Note, this is only my second time
doing this. I did what is recommended, opening up my chakras, then
sitting in a quiet room looking ahead and focusing on two objects, and
at the same time imagining I am somewhere else and flying there. Yet,
I do not feel any different. I only did it for 5 minutes today and 5
minutes yesterday which is the minimum required. I was wondering, if I
constantly do this every day, will I eventually be able to have an Out
Of Body Experience? How long may it take? Thank you for your help.
