Are you a breast cancer survivor between the ages of 18-40? If so, then you may be interested in joining this group. Life after cancer can be a bit of a challenge. The way we view ourseles, how we identify with other people, lifespan, children, partners, dating, survivor, physical, emotional, mental changes, memory and self identity are all concerns we have to deal with. There are also the things we are thankful for, most of all, being alive. Tigerlily (www.tigerlily.cc), is dedicated to providing education, support and empowerment to breast cancer survivors, and family and friends affected by this disease. We at Tigerlily are starting up a cancer survivors support group, based in Northern Virginia, that will meet bi-monthly, to honor and empower our survivors, talk, exchange information, offer support and motivate each other as we move forward and fight to kick cancer's #%#$@! Breast cancer patients, daughters, moms, sons, relatives, friends, loved ones of someone who has or had breast cancer or has lost someone to breast cancer are all welcome to attend. We understand that the disease affects the entire family and community.
