Hi Sharon,
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I've always been able to call my doctor and
get my platelet count. Her secretary tells me over the phone. The rules
may be different in the US, but maybe if you tell your doctor about your
concerns she/he may be able to make arrangements for you.
