Hi,
I just found your group and I appreciate that something like this is
out there!! I was in a car accident in August 2005 and have since
had symptoms of numbness and tingling in both arms (worse on the
left side). Within the past month the symptoms have also moved into
my legs. In addition, I've felt the weakness and as some of you
have mentioned can barely function some days.
I've been seeing a chiropractor since April and going through PT.
The symptoms haven't improved, so he sent me to a Neurosurgeon. I
had a normal EMG on both sides and a Dopplar study that showed
positive for TOS.
I have an appt with the Neurosurgeon on Tuesday to discuss options.
I know that one of those is surgery, and as bad as it may sound to
say, I'm leaning in that direction. The chiropractic adjustments
and PT haven't changed anything and I just would like to have some
relief of the symptoms.
I've read some of your "testimonies", but am curious as to what
others might think. I'm assuming that I have "Traumatic TOS", but
haven't actually gotten that info from the specialist yet.
Thanks again!
Melissa
