After 5 years of periodic pain, I can finally put a name to it after
seeing a Dr who recognized the problems I was having. Since this is
very new to me (as of last week) I was wondering if others would be
willing to share there experiences that relate to my own symptoms,
and how people have dealt with them, (through what type of therapy
and medication).
I am a 29yr old male. I am wondering if others have had these less
common symptoms related to TOS.
Angina (chest pain)
Anxiety attacks
Palpitations and a tachycardia after exercise (my heart jumped to 190
after jogging at 130)
headaches and unexplained fatigue
Night jolts
Loss of feeling in right arm (when my pain is in my left clavicle)
Alcohol and caffeine aggravate my TOS.
TOS getting worse at night
Irritability
I aggravated my TOS my jogging and working out on a rowing machine
before I knew what I had. Aleve and hot pads have helped
tremendously, however, if I place cold pads on my shoulder I almost
pass out and need to stop immediately. I am wondering if people
would share with me, through there experiences if they consider this
a mild, moderate or severe case of TOS??
I was wondering if people who've been diagnosed with Artery or Vein
TOS would share their experiences... The pain relating to my heart
and circulatory system makes me feel like I've done more than just
hurt my nerves (It's hard for me to separate the symptoms from my
anxiety). I don't get swelling but some numbness in my arms and
hands, I have constant pain in my clavicle.
Does anyone have suggestions to natural/over the counter medications,
or prescriptions? Does anyone know of a good Dr. in Tulsa, Oklahoma?
It's very easy for depression and constant crying to grip you when
you're in so much pain like this. I am very thankful to have a place
to share this with, and not feel alone anymore. Thank-you for
listening.
