More questions-finding a GOOD doctor?   Message List

Hello again to all~
thank you for the posted responses to my previous questions, I am
gleaning information from you all!
My main question right now is how to find the right experienced
doctor who treats TOS/Cervical ribs and will run the right tests?
I am in Michigan, and have made endless calls to vascualr surgeons
asking who has experience with this, found one so far, seeing him
soon to consult and hopefully get some tests run. My concern at
this point with my son and the cervical rib on the left side of his
neck is possible blood flow impairment, possibly causing clotting.
the c-rib is long, curves forward around INTO the side of his neck.
And yet, he is NOT in constant pain, in fact his pain come and goes,
certain postures or activities bring it on, and his arm looks more
blueish at those times making me think he has blod flow problems.
Anyhow, any other thoughts on locating a qualified physician would
be helpful...thanks again for all the input! It really helps to
know youre not alone going through these things :)
Blessings to all,
~Robin
