For Shawna...this is a very common treatment for TOCS. I was
not a surgical candidate. The will remove one rib from one side
first and then the other one six months later. By removing the
top rib this takes the pressure off the nerves. Suppossedly it
is the best treatment and I think they also give you pt
afterwards. If you do a search under top rib removal for tocs
you should find a ton of stuff on it that will give you detailed
info and prob photos. I would have had it if it had been an
option for me but they want people who are very, very then so
they have easy access to the nerves.
