Liz,
You should contact a disability lawyer and find out from them what they can
do for you. You do not have to pay them they will even come to your house and
they don't charge you a thing up front they listen to you and try to help you
and if they get something for you they take a third of whatever they get for
you. If they don't get anything you don't pay anything. That is what I did an
older lady at work told me about it when I got hurt at work. I was young and
didn't have the money to pay a lawyer is what I thought and she explained it all
to me.
