Hi Cathy, my name is Liz and I am 45 years old. I was diagnosed with moderate
TOS. I have been in a active rehab program for 6 weeks now in order to get back
to work.
I am feeling pretty good and confident that I am ready to go back to work soon.
This is where I need some help, I know my pain only comes on now when I am doing
physical stuff, it's not there all the time, which is great. What I need to know
is if anyone can tell me that TOS does go away completely with physio and will I
be able to do my job, which is very repetitive and heavy? Or will this just
bring the symptoms all back?
My symptoms have been and still are, sore, painful right shoulder and neck, pain
in right arm, swelling of right fingers and discolouration in right hand. Also
lots of tired, heavy feeling in right arm. What is really strange is that the
Vascular surgeon I saw said I was more symptomatic on the left side and yet the
pain I feel is all on the right.
Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Liz.

Welcome New Members...Group, we have added three new members in the
last week. I hope that you all will continue to correspond with each
other and share support as we live with TOCS. Please email me or find
me on messenger if I can assist you in anyway. Hope all of you are
doing well and being brave as we live with the pain and disability
created by TOCS.
Also one last note. FINALLY I SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL
AFTER TAKING CLASSES PART TIME SINCE 1997 I SHOULD FINISH TWO
ASSOCIATE DEGREES THIS YEAR... I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TYPE OF PART TIME
WORK I WILL BE ABLE TO DO BUT I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD MAKE IT THIS
FAR. IT HAS BEEN VERY SLOW BUT I HAVE DONE IT SOMEHOW IN MY OWN TIME
MY OWN WAY. BE BRAVE AND BE DETERMINED!!!!
