Re: [Thoracic Outlet Syndrome] Neck Problems

It could be a lot of things. My father and gradfather have similar
problems. THe only thing I know for sure is that my neck is out of
alignment, I have osteoarthritis in the two vertebrae at least, and
there is level one degeneration in the one vertebra as well. I am
also deveoping a hump because my neck is moving forward, and this is
affecting the rotor cuff(?) muscles. I am 33 years old, and if this
continues, I will be bent over like people twice my age in the next
bunch of years. Not my idea of fun.

The chiro will be putting it in traction for 10 minutes at a time,
and then I do it daily myself at home for a while.

I had an adjustment today, and can move my neck a lot beter now.
That's a start. He didn't mention anything about a herniated disc,
but that there was nerve compression on the back of my spine.

He says it will take about a year. There is not much hope medically
to repair something like this, so I am going to give it a try.

Randy

I don't know a lot about pinched nerves but I think a pinched nerve might cause some of the same symptoms as TOCS. In regard to TOCS the nerves are compressed...
