Hello, Welcome to the club. Based on what you have told me on your upper
extremity problems, arms and hands; you have TOCS on both sides, left worse
than right. When my symptoms first started I had the burning hands and the
unbearable pain. Having loss of pulse is also one of the positive diagnostic
signs. Mine was work-related.
I was diagnosed in 1996 and started this chat room to try to help others with
TOCS. All cases are usually unique but may have some common symptoms. I never
had had any tingling or numbness. They taught me how to create that so I could
have less pain and sleep longer. All I can say is that I hope you have a good
M.D. and get the right diagnois and treatment plan. Usually that involves
physial therapy or top rib removal on both sides. Try to stay positive and be
determined. You will need a lot of inner strength to live with TOCS. Be sure
you are not alone. We all have it or rather it has us, but we have learned to
accept it and live with it.
