for Glen...I am sorry that I cannot really help you in regard to your question.
It
seems like you have more numbness than pain and I never had that only sudden,
terrible
onset of pain in both hands, arms, neck, and upper shoulders. You could be in
the very
beginning stages I guess. Sometimes at first, they are not sure what you have
until
symptoms progress. I guess I would try to see another M.D. for an opinion. I
saw
several but only one of them knew what it was. I don't know where you live. I
know
that Harold Kleinert in Louisville, KY diagnoses correctly and treats it.
Maybe
some of the other group members will read this and be able to provide you more
info
based on their symptoms. Sorry as my TOCS was nothing whatsoever like this in
symptomatology. You could also go to the Harvard Graphics site. Search under
Massachusetts General Hospital and there you will find discussion forums and
information on all types of illness. YOu might try that. Also, search for
M.D.'s in
your area under tocs. Do a search under TOCs and you will many, many articles
which
may help you. You may or may not have it....but you could have it and be in
the first
stages and it will progress. Sorry I am not able to be more helpful based on my
knowledge. I think you could have it but are in the beginning stages of it.
Welcome
and good luck.
=====
Cathy
