A Turkish man named Ismail Dogan says that God (and a bird and a dog) told
him to kill English people. So naturally he went around stabbing people
with a boning knife:

As explanations go, this one sucks. Suppose that God told you to kill a
bunch of people with a boning knife, would you do it? If you heard a voice
telling you to kill people with a boning knife, would you do it? If you
just had a sudden feeling that you wanted to kill people with a boning
knife, would you do it? I think the answer to all these three questions is
obviously no unless you already had a set of moral ideas consistent with
killing people with a boning knife. Indeed, Mr Dogan said he was happy with
his stabbing spree and would do it again if he had the opportunity.
Nevertheless the court accepted his plea of manslaughter on the grounds of
diminished responsibility.
