It's been 3 1/2 weeks since I reached my target goal weight. I went clothes shopping yesterday. I took clothes in size 4, and 6's in with me into the dressing room. I fit into a size 4 pantsuit! I took exactly 24 weeks to shed the weight: 34 lbs. However, at this time last year, I was wearing size 12's, (and one pair of size 14), jeans; size 12 dresses (and a few size 14's). It's incredible-being thin again!
On page 11 of the book, Joining the Thin Club, the author says:
"You are most likely to succeed in The Thin Club when you:
1. Believe that you belong.
2. Work on changing some of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors to those most likely to keep you in The Thin Club.
3. Look in the mirror and finally see...well...someone attractive and not fat! "
I'm feeling & doing all of the above!
And, like the author says on page 18, Secrets to Staying a Member
"To maintain your weight loss, it is important to have realistic goals about your weight, address body-image concerns, and adhere to a plan for healthy diet and exercise."
Yep, I'm doing that, too. One example, I have a weight range (a top number) on the scale that if I go above, I get back to eating a little less to shed that pound or two. And, I log all my food & liquid intake & my exercise work-outs.
