My name is Josy and I know how you all feel i have not been on
this site before so i'm a newbie, have suffered migrains for over
the last 11 yrs the docs trieds to put it down to womens
monthly, choc, coffie and eveything else that you can think of but
came up with nothing I cut out all the bad things the slowely
brought one thing back at a time to see if it spark the devil back
of but i was still having them. I had one migrain for over 5 days
solid, i had took 8 Imagrams (sorry about the spelling kids running
about the place here) within 5 days, I have tried amitriptlin,
nortriplin, imagraim injection which made it 10 times worse at the
moment i am on 6 50mg of topamax and then naproxen and domprodon i
think its called for feeling sicky and imagram as well if needed. I
do find Topamax good but the side effects like forgetting is one
thing that is a bit annoying but other wise no probs what was the
side affect with you chris. My nut aches as i call them have noset
rules they come when they like, a lot of others have blured eye site
or tunnel vision or spots all i get is a acheyness at the base of my
kneck and then i know i,m in for hell am i'm running for the tabs.
I have been checked for arthritas nothing. Smells don't do it
ithere. I must be the odd ball (hehe) .

generally daily headaches (some of which I am fairly certain are
migraines) for most of my life. I am now 30 and in the past couple
of years, some of the ones that fit a description of migraine pretty
well, have been seriously getting worse. I would love information,
thoughts, experiences, and just plain descriptions of what a typical
migraine is like for others as it might help me have a better idea
of whether what I am suffering are actually migraines. I tried
seeing my old doc (I have just moved) and he spent about 7-12
minutes with me and than promptly tossed Topamax and Maxalt-MLT into
my lap eagerly. Both meds had some pretty bad side effects for me
and I have had to stop taking both as neither really did any good
for me:). Ok, enough rambling here. Seriously, I would love to know
about others personal experiences (i.e. how would you describe the
pain, what is a typical migraine like, have you ever had auras that
do not seem to coordinate with your migraines (i.e. occurring either
with or not with them but in no set pattern)...).
