Hi All,
My name is Chris and I have been suffering from chronic generally daily
headaches (some of which I am fairly certain are migraines) for most of my life.
I am now 30 and in the past couple of years, some of the ones that fit a
description of migraine pretty well, have been seriously getting worse. I would
love information, thoughts, experiences, and just plain descriptions of what a
typical migraine is like for others as it might help me have a better idea of
whether what I am suffering are actually migraines. I tried seeing my old doc (I
have just moved) and he spent about 7-12 minutes with me and than promptly
tossed Topamax and Maxalt-MLT into my lap eagerly. Both meds had some pretty bad
side effects for me and I have had to stop taking both as neither really did any
good for me:). Ok, enough rambling here. Seriously, I would love to know about
others personal experiences (i.e. how would you describe the pain, what is a
typical migraine like, have you ever had auras that do not seem to coordinate
with your migraines (i.e. occurring either with or not with them but in no set
pattern)...).
Warmest thanks,
Chris
