| I agree...Rothbury was a huge success. There were close to thirty of us camping together at Camp Traction. I met several awesome sober people and we had a blast getting down together at the shows. We made a soul train alley out of glow sticks at the Phil show and had a blast hanging out together. I am so totally diggin' Jackie. I saw him out at the Harmony festival and have seen him a few times with Phil. He rocks! I've been reading some of the posts lately and am a bit set off. To me, this list is about welcoming the newcomer...being examples of being able to enjoy music sober. I took a friend to Rothbury with me who has a couple of years sober. The group welcomed him with open arms and he had such a great time! I love it when this happens because that is what this group did for me when I first
started coming around. You guys showed me I could still enjoy music sober and I had know idea it would WAY better than it was when I was using. I am very grateful for that and want to pass that along. What kind of message are we sending when a newcomer gets on this list and sees people telling people to fuck off??? Not good. Anyway, the Rothbury lineup was unbelievable. I've never seen Phish before and got to hear them play a Beatles tune together. They did some running from stage to stage to make that happen. Now back to responsibilities...getting ready to move to Oakland from Illinois in a couple of weeks. I have a good job lined up and am looking forward to the change and the opportunities that will be available to me out there. Again, just feeling super grateful coming back from a festival having had such a great time. I saw people hauled off on stretchers, said a little prayer for
them, and thanked my higher power for the life I am able to lead now. Many positive vibes out to all of you. Let's remember that the Wharfrats do have a primary purpose and let's do it together.
