Miko,
I'm not offended, I'm a bit dismayed with your narcissistic ways. (Your comment below offers a great defense however!)...I would imagine the situation as it is would be a powerful motivator in and of itself... Though we sent a check last week to the Red Cross, I don't feel vying for competition amongst friends via an ego driven agenda is appropriate. I realize you are the "One the Road Trouble Shooter", and I probably don't understand the implications of such a intricate and I suppose time consuming position. Maybe it's because as a stay at home dad, I'm out of the loop. My apologies, and my two cents. Robert

I know you think it was to draw attention to my particular donation. I am sorry you took it that way. Like any other donation drive such as NPR, Live 8, etc, the email specifically asked for people to MATCH or donate what they could. Many, many times folks donate and try to get matching donations. Having spoken to the Bakers, the 10K seed money they had allowed them to bring a truck loaded with food to Houston. Can you imagine what 5 or 10 people matching from the recipient list could have doneSorry if you were offended and I hope it promoted some people to give. Based on the emails I have received, I think that goal has started to be met..Luv ya manMiko
