I do appreciate your comments and I hope that it stimulated you to donate.  I know you think it was to draw attention to my particular donation. I am sorry you took it that way.  Like any other donation drive such as NPR, Live 8, etc, the email specifically asked for people to MATCH  or donate what they could.  Many, many times folks donate and try to get matching donations. Having spoken to the Bakers, the 10K seed money they had allowed them to bring a truck loaded with food to Houston.  Can you imagine what 5 or 10 people matching from the recipient list could have done

 

Sorry if you were offended and I hope it promoted some people to give.  Based on the emails I have received, I think that goal has started to be met..
