Hi there,

I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I

This is just awesome guys! I finally got around to graduatin and I didn't even
have to turn up a single day this time around to get my final credit  points.
Now
I am fully qualified in a BA and on the       hunt for a new job! I'll let you

Here goes - since healing is the area I have been
ministering in - both physical and emotional - there is much
to say. First, I will tell you that I have seen
eyesight restored ( in a very good friend so I know it to
be true), and instantaneous healings, but most
healings occur within a time frame which parallels natural
healings, but without complications and accompanies great
faith in the one who is ill.<br> <br>Children are the
ones most easily healed in a spontaneous way, probably
because they are less likely to have expectations of how
the healing will occur and they have not learned to
doubt.<br> <br>What I became aware of in praying for those
who are ill are the blocks to their healing.
Unforgiveness, bitterness, double mindedness (for instance,
those who are receiving compensation for their
accident, etc., and they don't want to lose the money, but
yet still want to be relieved of pain. Or they are
holding on to the illness because of the attention they
are receiving without being cognizant of the fact).
Therefore, counseling is many times necessary for them to
MAINTAIN and even receive their healing. Their spirit
needs to be ministered to first because our bodies pick
up what is in our spirit. Sometimes they need to see
their environment is not helpful to the healing
process. <br> <br>Some people bring too many expectations
as to the form the healing should take. If the pain
is still there, they are not healed - in fact they
interpret it to mean that God chose not to heal them, and
they give up at that point. They do not know that
during the healing process, the pain sometimes still
needs to be present so that they will not overuse the
part that is being healed. What is very important to
people who are receiving the ministry of healing is to
keep bringing their bodies to the Lord for healing
until the work is done.<br> <br>Whenever anyone prays
for you, whether touching you or not, they are
bringing you the anointing of the Lord for healing.
Something happens to you when the Holy Spirit touches your
body that causes some effect. That anointing remains
upon you - and it is important to continue daily
letting your body receive the benefits of it. Just as you
sit down and eat another meal for nourishment, you
need to sit quietly and let the Lord minister to your
body - receiving whatever he is doing with
thankfulness. That helps keep faith active. He has promised to
heal you. I had a terrible back pain for about 10
years, but I never stopped receiving the Lord's
ministering to my back through the prayers of others and my
own quiet time - but it is totally gone now.<br>
<br>But - eventually, we will have the end of our life,
and we must learn to discern by listening to God's
will for healing in each circumstance. Sometimes
sickness "unto death" is allowed to linger in order for
the person to get their house in order, or for the
family to handle the death. God is merciful!<br>
<br>Whenever someone asks you to pray for their healing,
always listen first to what you see Jesus doing or
saying. Follow that leading in your prayers. Remember, He
is the healer and we only work with him in either
bringing his touch or words to the one sick. This is above
all His Ministry. Unless you feel yourself literally
flowing with His anointing towards the sick one - stand
still and wait. Usually we tend to identify with the
one in pain and sort of "beg" God from that place.
That is intercession. But ministry is just the
oppposite....we stand in the heavenlies with Christ and identify
with his power to heal and flow with it, either with
his touch or words of healing towards the sick one.
<br> <br>I remember praying for someone's knee and I
greatly felt the Lord asking me to blow on the knee. I
told the person what I felt to do, asked permission
which was granted, and blew. Needless to say, the
healing occured right away. Don't limit the ways in which
God heals.<br> <br>Jeanne
