Welcome to he club Pippy :). My name is Kim and I'm 29 and also born with a
cleft lip and cleft palate, married, and a mom of one.
I understand what you're talking about with not knowing whether to approach
someone else who was also cleft and asking about it. I haven't run into
many but when I do I try and say that I only noticed because I also was born
cleft and recognized it. Either I've come across understanding people or
how I said it was less intrusive so we would talk about it a little and they
didn't seem scared or offended..
On a less serious note, I'm also part Irish (my dad's dad's dad). My dad
has been doing geneology research on our family and found out that that part
of the family is from the area of Tipperary. We almost visited Ireland when
we were visiting the UK a few yers back but it cost too much to take the
ferry for all 6 of us :(.
And Weezy, I didn't know you also had some green blood in you... that
wedding sounded like it was a lot of fun :).
