A mutual-support group for Christians and others suffering from scrupulosity, the religious manifestation of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Founded by a Lutheran minister, the group focuses on the proper biblical distinction between Law and Gospel and its importance for healthy, biblical faith.
The Scrupe Group Blog can be found at http://scrupegroup.blogspot.com .
NOTE: While Christians (and others) of all shades are welcome in this group, dealing with scrupulosity necessarily requires dealing with theology. Questions of substance, about which various individuals and confessions may differ, cannot be avoided.
The theological orientation of this group is that of the classical Reformation, and in particular of the Lutheran Confessions. Pastoral counsel will be given from that perspective. While no one will be compelled to agree with that perspective, and everyone is free to register disagreement, theological debate is not the purpose of this group. Individuals who persist on pursuing doctrinal or lifestyle agendas of their own will be first admonished, and then prevented from posting or even banned.
Agreement with the theological perspective of this group is not required. Respect for it is.
