They had lg packages of turmeric and other spices for less than $5. Basmati rice for $12-13, comparable to Sam's Club pricing, plus large pita breads at 1.49 a pkg (Albertson's are priced at 2.49 a pkg). They are frozen immediately after baking to retain freshness, a good thing since pita bread dries out so quickly. For the bakers, I know they are easy to make, but I tend to be lazy for just the two of us. Anyhow, they have a variety of Dal, including lentils and chickpeas. Yes, they have both white and brown chick peas and at least three types of lentils. If you are exploring middle eastern cooking, you should be able to find your spices there. I was pleasantly suprised, as they had almost as much as the store in did in Cleveland and we don't have near the middle eastern population here. Oh, their meat is conventionally grown, but if you are looking for goat.... Anyway just an update on my search for the uncommon.
