My suggestion would be to shop shop shop for insurance. I'm not sure what
the policy is like in the UK, but here in the states I know I pay no penalty
for being a cancer survivor. At least not now that it has been so long
since I had cancer (17 years). Perhaps what you might consider is finding
the minimum coverage level that would be less expensive for the next 3 years
or so, until your rates go down.
Insurance on a new mortgage..... is this life insurance or home owners
insurance?
In either case your rates will go down over time.

Ihave recently tried to obtain insurance on a new mortgage. Subsequently
once the company are awre i have testicular cancer the cost goes through
the roof.Does anyone know of ant companies that specialise in covering
cancer patients, after all my oncologist said if you get a cancer this is
the best one to have ,due the high cure rate.Iwould be grateful to hear
from anyone who could help, there must be more people out there like
