I have to have my left testicle removed on Friday the 13th of August.

I noticed a lump in about March. I got examined but the doctor
thought it was an infection, so he gave me some antibiotics. They
didn't help though. I got it checked again in July and arranged to
have an ultrasound scan and see a urologist. On Monday the 9th of
August, I was told that my left testicle would have to be removed. I
also has a chest X-ray and a blood test. Could I have left it too
late? The growth is now covering the back half of the testicle.

I've never had surgery before. I'm scared. I'm just going to close
my eyes as soon as I lay down and keep them closed.
