Re: Anyone still out there?

I am here. How was your day? Mine was okay. Not really, but that is what
I have become so use to saying over the years that sometimes I even
begin to believe that it's true, when it's not. I know we do not know
one another, but that's okay, because were still neighbors on this
planet called Earth, right? And what an interesting place this can be,
so many human beings running around in such a hurry and sometimes all I
want to do is sit still, but something inside tells me I have to move
just as fast as everyone else if I don't want to be left behind. But
then what's so wrong with being left behind anyways...not like there's
anything really interesting waiting ahead except more buildings and
more traffic and more crowds and more emotional distress that is so
unnecessary. Interestingly, I only feel this way in the city...which is
something I did not really understand until I spent some time in the
mountains. There the pain seem to fade away in the embrace of a natural
world. I studied veg. cooking at a yoga retreat and at night we would
walk up the hill together, a small group of us, and watch the sun set.
It was spectacular and beautiful and familiar (like being home for the
very first time, yet knowing that I had been there before). There,
there was no urge to binge and purge. There, there was no desire to
punish myself for things I could not understand. There, I was in awe of
life and the wonder of cosmological creation. I miss laying beneath a
sky blanketed in starlight and a full glowing moon.I miss hearing the
sound of drums beating out rhythmic trances while we sat around a
campfire, surrounded by manzanita and willow trees... and feeling the
blowing of wind through the leaves.Well, if you read throug this
message, thank you for listening; wherever you are.Goodbye Gina.
