our online calendar

point out the calendar link on
the left side of this page.

It's very usable,

We will not be meeting any more this year.
Our
first meeting of the new year will be January 6 from
7-9pm at Bethel Assembly Of God Church. We will meet on
every Thursday and on the first and third it will be at
7-9 pm and on the second and fourth it will be at
1-3pm. All our meetings are at Bethel. On February 3, we
will have a guest speaker with us from the Challenge
program. Debbie Anderson will come and talk to us about
the nutts and bolts of the Challenge program and how
we as parents can be more effective with our teens
that may be headed for trouble. She is a great Lady
and has a lot of insight to give. So come and join
us. Our group is run by parents for parents as a
support to help each other threw the most difficult
challenge we have today. Raising our children to be happy,
healthy, responsible community leaders!! See you there.
Beverly Kelley- Parent Partner
Amy,
This is really great. I am looking
forward to the hosted chats we will have this next year.
I have some ideas for chats that we could have. It
would be really great to get someone from the probation
office to talk about the challenge program. Then there
is the issue of after school hours and how to keep
our children safe. The K-6 have a great new after
school program and it even covers threw 8 grade, but, it
is hard to get the 7&8 graders to the program unless
they have to go because they are behind in their
school work. I would like to explore the options of
putting into place somethings for our youth in town to
help keep them busy, and out of trouble!! Any ideas
anybody?
Take care,
Beverly Kelley
CDF and Ishi Camp inmates donated 30 bicycle to
Social Service and Probation children. Many thanks to
the area service clubs, Rotary, Kiwanis, law
enforcement and others that made donations for bike parts. If
only you could have seen the smiles that this project
brought to our children. THANK YOU!
Interested in chatting with local community
leaders? Getting answers to health questions? Insight on
talking to your teens? In the next couple of months we
will be scheduling chat sessions specifically for
Tehama County. Let us know what topics are of interest
to you.
Notice: The date for the December Health
Partnership meeting has been changed. We will be meeting on
Tuesday, December 14th from 1-3 PM at the Tehama County
Dept of Education. We will be having holiday
"goodies", so don't miss it!
