A message from Venita Philbrick, regarding the
Red Bluff Trails United project
(<a href=http://www.tchp.org/Miscellaneous/RBTU.html
target=new>http://www.tchp.org/Miscellaneous/RBTU.html</a>):<br><br>The 15th
National Trails Symposium will be held in
Redding, Ca, September 21-24, 2000. The Symposium is held
every two years. and in 2000 will be coordinated by
American Trails, a national non-profit organization, and a
state host, California State Parks. The local host will
be the City of Redding.<br> <br>Julie Buer has been
invited to represent RBTU and participate in the
planning. She has attended the initial meetings in Redding.
If anyone is interested in attending, let Julie know
or contact Terry Hanson, City of Redding at (530)
225-4009.<br> <br>The planning committee expects close to 1000
attendees because it is the new Millennium and in
California a proactive trails state with such a large trail
user population base. The Sacramento River Trail,
which runs through Redding, is one of the finest
examples of an urban trail in the country.<br> <br>The
