As those of us who have lost a loved one who was serving in the military know, surviving a military death is a special and unique experience. Everything from the military rights to the honors and memorials offered bring a new dynamic to the death of our loved ones. That is why the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (T*A*P*S) was created.
Over the years, the number of siblings who have turned to T*A*P*S has increased. As siblings, we deal with issues unique to each of us. This issues are very different from that of a spouse, parent, or child, but are none the less important to us and our long term "recovery" from teh grief that comes after such a loss.
This group is to support those siblings who have lost a brother or a sister who was serving in any branch of the United States Armed Forces. The death can be from natural causes (ie: illness), accidental death (ie: vehicular accident), or a combat/training related death. We welcome all siblings who have had to suffer the loss of a brother or sister in the US Military to join us.
Please come join us as we provide support and insight to each other.
