what is typical?   Message List

I've had an unanswered question for a long time. How much does the
"typical" person sweat? I've not found any information online.

The other day I was watching a game show and the contestant had large
circles of perspiration under her arms. To me, this seems normal since
I know in a similar situation, on TV, under the hot lights, competing
in some game, I'd be sweating buckets. It's become a curiousity of
mine to observe the contestants on these games shows. Most stay
perfectly dry!

Is it some sort of super-power antiperspirant they used in the makeup
room? Or do these people simply not sweat in pressure situations? Is
that normal? All it takes is just a little stress for me.

If I remember correctly from physiology, most sweat actually leaves the body as vapor, not liquid, and evaporates quickly. It is when the volume of sweat is...

I did finally stumble upon a site that says our underarms can sweat 9 ml per hour. What I don't know is if that is for the typical person or one with HH, and...
