From what I recall it's a bad idea if you are prego, not sure if you are nursing.  The itching fades after a while (my experience).  A small side effect for an effective, non-surgical solution.  I have used Drysol successfully for several years now.  I used to combo it with Drionic, now I don't even need that.  Good luck
