hi monica
il share this poem to u which helped me when my 4yr old daughter was diagnosed
with leukemia.i pervently hope this can help her lift up her spirit
Life has become better because i have learned that faith can get me through pain
and suffering.
I have learned to look at my weakness and aim for perfection
I have learned to be strong and fight my own battle
I have learned to value the presence of my famiy and friends
I have learned that my doctor can be my friend
I have learned that people care for me
I have learned that i have so much to share with others
I have learned that i have so many reasons to be happy
In spite of cancer , i have learned that Life Can Be better.

My SIL has just been diagnosed with Leukemia and will be starting
Chemo today or tomorrow. As of last night, they have not identified
exactly which type she has.
To make matters much worse, she is 31 weeks pregnant. Clearly she and
my brother (as well as our whole family) are very frightened.
I am actually looking for advice as to how to be most helpful to them.
Was there anything that friends or family did for you or said to you
that you found helpful/strengthening/comforting? My SIL is a very
private person and doesn't want a lot of visitors, which I respect.
Thank you for any advice you have to offer.
Blessings,
Monica
