Hello all!
Last year I decided that I wanted to do something in memory and honor
of all children who are currently in treatment, in remission, or
have lost their battle to cancer/leukemia. I became a organizer and a
shavee in the St. Baldricks Day event sponsored by the National
Childhood Cancer Foundation.
I have again this year decided to take part in the event again.
On March 20th, 2004 (6pm-7pm) at St.Marks Church in Baltimore
Maryland I, along with 2 others will be shaving my head in return for
pledges/donations.
If you are in the area I invite you to come and take part in this
event.
If you are not in the area and would still like to be part of this
you can!
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the National
Childhood Cancer Foundation by sponsoring me to shave my head. To
make a donation, and learn more about the event and NCCF, visit
www.stbaldricks.org click on "sponsor a shavee" to submit a donation
in my name, or call 1-800-458-6223 to donate by phone.
When you click on sponsor a shavee you will need to input the
following information: St.Marks Church Baltimore Maryland Candy
Richardson
Unlike many of these children who face an uncertain future, I am
lucky enough to know that my hair will grow back in a couple of
months. So, if a little off the top will help save the life of a
child, it's a small price to pay.
Thank you so much for supporting me!
