My opening contribution

I like the sound of this new club. I thought I
would post my experience with supplements as my opening
contribution to the club.

I am an avid user of MSM. I
had a serious ADR to a drug back in March and the
symptoms were so serious that I have been to doctors as
far away as Washington DC to get help. Come to find
out the only thing that they said would help would be
time (if I got better at all). Well in my scramble to
get better and clean out my system I became
reacquainted with MSM. Since starting it on June 1st I have
gone thru the most serious detox you can imagine. I
won't go into the sordid details but suffice to say I
would spend days (in one instance 10 days straight)
where all I could do was lay on the couch I was so sick
and weak. I had many symptoms of detox and I was only
starting out with 1 gram a day. Anyway, I am now in my 7th
month on it and have worked up to 4 and 1/2 teaspoons
(18 grams) a day and detox is almost nonexistent as
long as I don't up my dosages too much or too quickly.
I usually up it 1 gram every few weeks. Anyhow, I
am feeling almost 100% again and am able to exercise
again. The side benefits other than getting my system
cleaned out include having completely eliminated my
allergies and asthma symptoms. What a relief! I can
actually mow the lawn again instead of my wife having to
do it all the time. I don't even get a sniffle now
whereas I used to have such a severe reaction that I
would be down sick for 2 weeks (literally). I also have
completely rid myself of dandruff and psoriasis so bad that
my eyebrows used to crust up and my scalp would
bleed. Now my skin is just like a normal persons. I
sleep better, I don't have the digestive problems I
used to have and the joint pain I had developed with
the reaction to that medicine has completely
disappeared. My sinuses are clear and fully functional for the
first time in my adult life. There are so many more
details I could go into, but I will not unless someone
would like to know more.

I also take AST brand
Gl3 L-Glutamine. I take 5 grams before I go to bed at
night and within 10 minutes I am so tired and I sleep
like a baby. I used to be up and down all night. I
also take 5 grams before and sometimes after an
exercise workout. It reduces or eliminates the fatigue and
keeps my energy up. I love it as a supplement.

I
also take CS. I don't notice anything particular about
it helping me, but I don't get any colds now and my
wife and friends (who refuse to take it) have been
fighting every cold that comes along. I was even drinking
from my wife's cup when she had a cold and I have not
even got a runny nose or anything. So maybe that is a
result of the CS, but since I have no proof, I won't be
melodramatic and claim that is what it is (even though I truly
believe it is :-).

I have tried Natural Calm, and
various other things but never got the results that some
have. I guess my body has its own specific needs and I
am just glad that I have found some things that work
for me.

If anyone would like to know more
about anything I have mentioned, feel free to ask. I am
always happy to talk about the things that I believe can
make a person feel better.
