Doug, Petre has a good point.
The sun shines equally on all, just as God loves all beings. I believe they do
not quantify or qualify anything or anyone as good or bad since neither God nor
the sun are attached to outcomes one way or the other -- that is man's
limitation.
I do, however, think we have a built in evaluation/ judgment system ...given by
God to guide our actions. Ultimately, on the "day of judgment", and in the
presence of God (and His purified ones), it is we who will bear witness to our
own choices, "good" or "bad". And we will know, by the grace of God, the truth
of our choices, and the effects they had on ourselves and the world.
And even if some choose to ignore their inner Guidance, and some are so out of
balance that they appear to be "evil", ultimately WE are responsible for
creating our own stability or instability, as individuals, and as societies
...helping or hurting ourselves and each other, whichever the case may be.
By accepting God in our hearts, He purifies our being. And it is this state of
purification that protects us. God will still let both good and bad things
happen since we are still here to learn. It is WE who must choose the outcome,
which then is what will be witnessed on "the day of judgment."
The more people that focus on self-stability and also helping others to become
stable, the more the whole world can be stabilized. Yet, the more people that
focus on fear and anger, that too can be felt and transferred to the world
population as a whole.
So when bad things happen, it's not necessarily the "Will of God", it is God
allowing us to LEARN through our mistakes, big and small. This is "justice" (a
balancing out, a reaping what we sow), whether it feels like it or not. But
remember, we are not in this alone, we not only reap what we sow as individuals,
but as societies. So if big pharma makes drugs that kill an innocent child, we
are still just reaping what we sow as a population.
Further, humanity is like the sun, we shine on each other, we pass our energies
to each other ...in many ways, and multiple levels. But how many people know
that their thoughts and feelings affect the people physically near them and all
of humanity at a group consciousness level? People without this knowledge act
carelessly due to their ignorance ...and this carelessness takes the shape of
hurting themselves and others without the knowledge of what they are creating.
I believe there are moments in time that "God" steps in to stop us from our own
self-destruction, but on the whole I believe God lets us go through the
consequences of our own actions and of those around us so we learn we are
responsible for our selves and each other ...that we are all connected ...that
we are all One -- and we should start acting like it.
God is the best Parent. He doesn't DO anything for us. He makes us do for
ourselves to learn and grow. He allows us to suffer the consequences of our
actions (and those around us). And if one of us is misguided, He expects us to
"love our neighbor" and either help him back to balance, or at least have
compassion for his affliction ...even if this person did "evil" to us or
another.
This does NOT mean, however, that we should not stand up for ourselves when an
injustice has been done. On the contrary ...we must learn to live fully, bravely
and stamp out weakness in ourselves (and help others to do the same) and not
allow the weakness/ corruption of others to overcome our own stability and
infinite being. This is part of being a complete human being.
ramble, ramble ....sometime I wish I had the talent to say things in a more
concise way. Oh well. ; )
Much love,
Kathy
