Yes Doug, I too have this vision
or trouble of seeing two sun images. Unusally for me if I see the sun beginning
at sunrise there is only one. But as the sun raises and becomes brighter then
it begins to break into two images. I know that this is due to one
eye weaker than the other and having a convergence problem. My eye doctor
has confirmed this. It is more of a problem when I am tired, which gives
me another confirmation that it is a convergence issue.
I will say that it appears
that this ‘problem’ is slowly reducing (perhaps the sun is ‘curing’
me???). I still have the problem although it appears lesser these
days.
Wishing all a very happy
and light filled New Year -

Has anyone tried this. - Altering your focal length resulting in two
images of the sun while sungazing and then bringing them back together
again into one sun. I also enjoyed the "dancing sun balls" effect
while
out on my boat again last weekend. I have asked previously but I don't
recall getting many replies.
All the best for the new year
