Dan,
Chi Gung masters say that walking barefoot on dewy grass is
very yang. Last August, when I had the beginnings of a sore
throat, I walked barefoot on grass for a couple of days to see if it
would make it worse or better. It seemed to help. Working in the
garden in the early morning must also be yangizing. Monks who
get up before dawn to work in the fields are happy and energetic
even though they get like five hours of sleep every night.
