In my research on the 1918 pandemic article, I found a few references that said Gelsemium, Bryonia, and Eupatorium were used effectively then.  But I think that the key is always to take a fresh look at the current situation.  People then weren't quite the same as they are now.  Society is different.  So, though the physical symptoms of the two epidemics seem to be similar, there could very well be significant differences in the societies that would change the appropriate prescription. 

I do not feel well enough qualified to make a good suggestion for what remedies to use for this particular pandemic - if, indeed, it is one.  Does anyone have thoughts on what might be appropriate remedies for the current situation?

Would you suggest a monthly dose of Influenzinum 30c for prevention while the threat lasts? Would the speed of progress and severe bleeding suggest an exposed Syphilitic picture? That would fit the apocalyptic  energy at the end of ww1. Does it fit the global picture now? I think so very much, with all the violence and shock tactics we are exposed to on a daily basis by the media.

What does anyone think?

Can anyone research the exact symptom cluster and come up with some remedies please?
