I own a Sulis machine. Frankly, it puzzles me, but the fact is that I
cannot tell the difference between results of made-from-scratch
remedies and those produced by the Sulis machine.
The person who suggested trying it has a good suggestion. Another
variation would be to give a patient - one whose remedy you feel
confident about prescribing - a placebo first, and then give the
remedy made by Sulis. If there's a response to the placebo, then you
would need to start again. If there's no response to placebo, but
there is a response to the Sulis-made remedy, then you have some
indication of efficacy. That isn't adequate to be sure, but it is a
start. If there's no response to the Sulis remedy, then give the
made-from-scratch remedy. If that is effective, then it's an
indication that the Sulis remedy doesn't work. Again, it isn't a
final answer, but is an indication. How far you'd want to go with it
is up to you, of course.
