Joe,
I'm going to offer some spiritual suggestions.
Louise Hay has a book called "You Can Heal Your Life" and it talks about how our
thoughts can create pain through out our body. The back of the book is list of
body ailments, the mental thoughts that cause them and affirmations to heal
them. It has worked for me, but I had to believe the affirmation. If I don't
believe what the affirmation offers (I love and approve of myself. I see myself
and what I do with eyes of love. I am safe. (the affirmation for headaches))
then it won't work.
The other thing that I've done, that I've stopped doing is forecasting the
future. None of us can know (though we can create it) what our future will be.
Although, if we keep reaffirming the negative (I'll always be poor, no one will
ever love me, I'll never do x) then that is what we'll get. What we give our
energy and attention to, becomes our reality. The Universe (that some call God)
is like a fast food window: you get what you ask for and nothing more. The
seemingly "difficult" task before us, is to reasess what we're "ordering" from
the Universe and try to reframe our thinking to be, if not positive, not
negative. In other words, insted of going from "I'm a bad person" to "I'm a
great person", try "I'm a person". There's no pressure to be great, only to not
be bad.
Think on this.
Peace,
Gary . . .
