Description

Alexandra Severovna Strelnikova developed an exercise that allowed professional singers to quickly recover their voice after illness or trauma. Unexpectedly, it turned out that this exercise has virtue of helping with wide spectrum of respiratory illnesses, such as asthma, chronic bronchitis and tuberculosis. Beneficial effect is possibly due to overall increasing of metabolism and developing respiratory apparatus without decreasing CO2 levels and therefore not causing aggravation of bronchial conditions. It has also showed promise in general increase of organisms resistance to respiratory infection. Due to ease of learning and use this technique can be applied to children starting with 3 years old. Current practitioner of this exercise, Dr. Michail Shetinin accumulated significant clinical material in applying this technique, including results of 4 clinical trials in different central hospitals, which is widely described in Russian literature. Few material describing the technique in English, as well as self-learning guide can be found here:

Purpose of this group is to enable people who are learning or using this exercise to mutually enrich their experience, to accumulate information about effects of this exercise in different conditions, finding possible new areas of application or conditions where it should not be recommended. Group is open to discussions about the nature of the exercises effect, to comparisons to other techniques of traditional or not traditional medicine.
