That is correct - The model sold by A. E. Hobbs is made of "Pure Badger" and is intended for display purposes. Ours however is indeed 100% "Super Badger"...

I have used a diamond hone to lap my other hones. The diamond cut quickly. the result is a nice flat surface. I recently used wet/dry sandpaper to lap a hone....
